After two and a half years of legislation, Ricks finally negotiated the right to legally park at a neighboring gas station. In 2003, initial parking negotiations were put to a stop by the "Strippergate" scandal. Frank Colacurcio Sr. had been piping illegal campaign donations to Seattle City Council members and former Governor Albert Rosellini (owner of the neighboring gas station).
Ricks patrons were already parking in this lot - the legislation just makes it legal. The parking agreement requires that Ricks provide a parking lot attendant and clean up crew in hopes to minimize disturbances for local neighbors.
