The Stranger talks about crime in Lake City

From the Stranger - Jonah Spangenthal-Lee

Lake City's community meeting last week is getting some press from The Stranger. Check out this article discussing Jack Nelson's battle to clean up Little Brook (Beruit) Park. It's great to see the rest of Seattle acknowledging Lake City's existence.

Captain Washburn's comments at the community meeting about the war on pot in the University district spawned some heated discussion in the Stranger's blog SLOG.

Went to this park today
It's really a sweet little park. Too bad it is almost completely surrounded by big apartment buildings -- this kind of shuts it off from the surrounding community. But, if good people of the neighborhood organize things like going there en masse - 20, 30, 40, 50 people at a time, to hang out there and make it a safe & peaceful place - maybe the bad folk will have to find somewhere else to go.

NOT A CREEPY OLD MAN, JUST A CREEPY NEIGHBORHOOD
I wish he could start video taping the lovely situations he sees. Then forward it to our local cops. Book em Danno.
