Sat. Nov. 7 is Green Seattle Day 2009

The Green Seattle Partnership is organizing volunteers to plant native trees and shrubs in several city parks this Saturday for Green Seattle Day 2009. In the north Seattle area, locations include planting along the Burke Gilman Trail at 5212 NE 60th, and at Carkeek Park (at the McAbee entrance to Carkeek: 10300 6th Ave. NW).  Work crews will be at both sites from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Find out more and register at http://greenseattle.org/events/events-2009/November/green-se

Also, on Sunday Nov. 8, the Green Seattle Partnership is organizing a planting party at Magnuson Park's Promonotory Point from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. If you're interested, meet at the Education Pavilion (enter the park at NE 65
