Ok maybe it's the news. I keep wondering about the value of my home too. There is one for sale right next door to me now that is up for sale at nearly $400,000 which just amazes me. It seems high. So is real estate up? Is it down? Is the news bad or is it getting better? What does the national news have to do with Lake City? We are definitely affected by the wider market. But we are also insulated by being in Seattle, one of the real estate holdouts during the first of the market drop. I have charts, I have graphs, I have stats. I'll be glad to share. But for now, here's the list updating you on the sold properties in the area--These are the homes that sold since 9/1/09--last time I wrote in Lake City Live blog. 12002 40th Ave NE, 2B/1B -- Sold for $165,000 Wow! It's been a busy week for us, but I still want to be sure to update you on the sold properties in the area--These are the ones that sold since 8/25/09. Here's the list! 3010-A NE 137th St Seattle, WA 98125 sold for $270,000 (3B/3.5BA townhome) If you know anyone that wants to live near Haller Lake, let us know--we have a new listing there, a cute 3B/1B home with fabulous garden spaces. As always, if you'd like to see other types of information here, please let me know--I'm a part of this community, and want to make the most welcome contributions possible. Glad to see you around town! Asset...
Howdy! We became aware of the Lake City Live Blog while walking home one day from the Value Village (one of the better places to buy clothes!) and stopped in at The Beer Authority on Lake City Way. Since then we've been getting updates on beer tastings, and although we haven't made it to one yet, we surely will soon! So I thought this would be a great place to share what I can about our own neighborhood--there have been so many changes in the real estate world recently--this might help to keep you updated from time to time. I thought I'd expand from last week's blog post a bit since "Lake City" in the MLS does not include some areas of this blog's "Lake City". So I will also include Pinehurst, Olympic Hills, and Jackson Park as well as Lake City. If you would like statistics for another area (I was wondering if I should include Victory Heights for instance), please let me know and I'll be glad to include it. This week's installment of what's happening in the Lake City real estate market....
Hey Lake City!
Here's the first of a series of weekly updates on what's happening in the Lake City real estate market. This last week three homes sold:

MLS statistics don't break out Lake City, but include us in area 710, bordered on the north by 145th, on the west by I-5, on the east by Lake Washington, and to the south, Union Bay and the Montlake Cut. The area stats are:
