Why is real estate so interesting right now?

Ok maybe it's the news. 

I keep wondering about the value of my home too.  There is one for sale right next door to me now that is up for sale at nearly $400,000 which just amazes me.   It seems high.

So is real estate up?  Is it down?  Is the news bad or is it getting better?   What does the national news have to do with Lake City?  We are definitely affected by the wider market. But we are also insulated by being in Seattle, one of the real estate holdouts during the first of the market drop.  I have charts, I have graphs, I have stats.  I'll be glad to share.

But for now, here's the list updating you on the sold properties in the area--These are the homes that sold since 9/1/09--last time I wrote in Lake City Live blog.

Wow!  It's been a busy week for us, but I still want to be sure to update you on the sold properties in the area--These are the ones that sold since 8/25/09.
