UW landscape architecture students to give presentation on Lake City

Janine Blaeloch from Lake City Greenways writes:

As you know, students in the Landscape Architecture Neighborhood Design Studio at UW have been working this quarter in Lake City, and are developing some great ideas for green space and other projects. Some of us met with them at their studio a few weeks ago to see ideas they were developing after our community meeting with them mid-January. Now, their work has progressed even more, and any Lake City residents who are interested are invited to attend presentations at Gould Hall, located off-campus at NE 40th Street and 15th Avenue NE.

The February 27 presentations will be held 3:00-5:10 pm in Gould ground floor, starting with an overview in Gould 100 (west end of Gould) at 3:00, and moving into four simultaneous presentations at 3:20.  The last 20-30 minutes are set aside as an informal time for people to view and discuss the design proposals by students that they didn’t formally meet with.

The final presentations will be held Wednesday, March 13, 4:00-6:30 pm, starting in Gould 114.

We’re certainly looking forward to learning more about their vision for Lake City!
