A 55-year-old man was killed Wednesday evening when he was struck by a car.
The man attempted to cross Lake City Way NE in the 11000 block around 7 p.m. when he was struck by a northbound Saturn Ion, Seattle police said. The man was rushed to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle but he died there a short time later.
The 23-year-old driver of the car remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Police say there were no signs of impairment and the driver was interviewed and released.
The victim's name has not been released.
Read this this morning. Anyone know anything more?

LAKE CITY: If you want to know where real estate prices will rise, just try to figure out where young families are buying homes. Lake City is one of those spots, with an unpretentious vibe, one of the city's favorite farmers' markets and a great new brewery. (Joshua Trujillo/seattlepi.com)
